Treepz, the leading car-sharing and rental marketplace, recently engaged in a productive meeting with the Nigeria Trade Commission to discuss potential collaboration and explore new business opportunities. Collision is an event that brings together the actors redefining tech for three days of deliberations, deal-making, and networking.
Treepz joined other innovative startups to explore business opportunities in various sectors, including mobility, ICT, financial services, and the creative industries. The aim was to identify synergies and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
With its headquarters recently relocated to Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Treepz has established itself as the leading player in the car-sharing and rental market in Africa. Treepz HQ in Canada serves as the company’s project management hub. Treepz operates in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya and is exploring ongoing opportunities in other African countries.
The car rental market in Africa is experiencing substantial growth. It is projected to grow from $3.57 billion in 2023 to approximately $5 billion by 2027, with an annual growth rate of 8.7%. The increasing number of online users, expected to reach 91 million by 2027, is driving this growth. Online rentals will account for 57% of car rental transactions in the region by 2027.
In line with its commitment to innovation and expanding its service offerings, Treepz recently launched the Treepz Travel Partner (TTP) program. TTP enables event organizers and travel companies to leverage Treepz’s extensive tech-enabled on-demand rental fleet to provide their customers with accessible, convenient and affordable car rentals in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya. This program opens up avenues for enhanced service and revenue growth for event and travel companies.
Treepz co-founder and VP of Customer Engagement, John Shaibu, also actively participated in the 2023 Collision Conference, further highlighting the company’s dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends and fostering valuable connections within the business community.
Treepz is excited about the potential collaborations that will emerge from these discussions and looks forward to exploring new opportunities to enhance the travel and transportation landscape in Africa.
