In November 2021, Treepz Global put pen to paper and signed an acquisition deal that saw Ugabus become a part of us. This marked our grand entry into the East African market and the birth of Treepz Uganda. Ugabus.com was Uganda’s pioneer bus aggregator that mostly provided a web and mobile app through which people could buy bus tickets to travel anywhere within East Africa. Founded by Hakiza Ronald, Ugabus had so far sold over 100,000 bus tickets with 70{3e4ec73e7c148c7d746f0ef675592663885f802f3a27145c736987a15c9d45c3} of bus companies selling their bus tickets on the Ugabus app.
Today the 1st of December 2022 is our one-year anniversary for Treepz Uganda. A remarkable feat that would never have been achieved without the tremendous support of so many stakeholders. The last 12 months have seen so many strides and challenges alike. We saw an increase in bookings via the Treepz technology with the completion of over two(2) million bookings.
We then introduced Business Treepz, a cost-effective way for businesses to have their transport challenges solved by Treepz vehicles and technology in a seamless, predictable, and structured manner.
Treepz Uganda further expanded its product offering through partnerships with big and small events. We were the official transport partners of Africa’s biggest electric music festival, the NyegeNyege festival at which over 11,000 bookings were completed. More events crowned the year with our product offering expanding to include Transport as a service(TaaS).
We’ve worked with schools that have endowed us with the movement and security of their kids and with the untiring and most expert drivers who we like to call our Heroes, all have been a triumph.
A year prior, we never figured we would accomplish what we have and today, we take a gander at a team that’s truly awesome, clients who excel in their disciplines and value our work and partnership. A ton has changed throughout the long term, but even as we have grown, some pillars have remained and have become a piece of our prosperity.
Our core values (Humility, Integrity, Hunger, Excellence) and the objective of being a trusted transport partner for moving individuals, corporate companies, Events, schools, religious centers, and tour groups are guiding our path and we shall remain committed to these moving forward.
